The Open University of Cyprus (OUC, est. 2002) is a distance education public university delivering teaching to students not physically present in a traditional educational setting, via a state of the art technological infrastructure and educational methodology. It offers 29 undergraduate and Master's programmes and 10 doctoral programs, in Greek and English to almost 8500 students. OUC follows the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Some of the programs are joint with Universities in Cyprus, Greece and the USA as a result of a large network of international collaborations.

CYENS Centre of Excellence (CoE) is Cyprus’ leading research hub in Information and Communication Technologies, specializing in Interactive Media, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies. At CYENS, cutting-edge research meets real-world impact, with a mission to bridge academic excellence and innovation beyond the university setting. CYENS is a unique collaboration between the country’s three public universities (University of Cyprus, Cyprus University of Technology, and Open University of Cyprus), the Municipality of Nicosia, and two world-renowned partners: the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (Germany) and University College London (UK).
The Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI) is a non-profit organization established in 2006. CSTI’s Vision is to make Cyprus the Leading Sustainable Destination of the Mediterranean, and to engage all the stakeholders in the tourism industry to embrace sustainability for the benefits of the environment, the society & the economy. CSTI aims to contribute to sustainable tourism development in Cyprus that conserves the environment & the prudent use of natural resources, supports the local economy and promotes local culture. CSTI has developed several projects to demonstrate the benefits of sustainable tourism to the environment, the society and the economy, to develop close links between local suppliers & hoteliers/operators, and also to educate and inform the public regarding sustainability issues.
